Overview

The Peer Support Specialist will provide services to referrals from our Columbus and Franklin locations who are seeking out-patient treatment. This person may work directly with clients entering or re-engaging in services while promoting self-advocacy, social connectedness, wellness, development of natural supports and increased level of self-sufficiency, thus furthering recovery.

Responsibilities

Provide structured, scheduled activities that promote socialization, recovery, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of community living skills.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • All applicants must be either a Certified Recovery specialist (CRS) in the State of Indiana, or meet the eligibility requirements for the Certified Recovery Specialist Program for the State of Indiana. It will be required that a candidate hired without the certification become certified. CRS training will be provided to those hired.
