  • Overview

    The Outreach Engagement Specialist will be responsible for managing the agency's engagement/ no-show cancellation process through the use of engagement data. This candidate will possess the ability to make connections with consumers in a way that facilitates success in treatment.

     

    This individual collaborates with consumers, family members, other agency staff, referral sources and community partners to assist consumers with treatment success. The Outreach Engagement Specialist is a key position in assisting clients in remaining successfully engaged in services and assisting in removing barriers to attendance and engagement in services, primarily in an office-based setting.

    Responsibilities

    • Engage consumers and families in discussion regarding lack of participation in treatment and help identify barriers to services

    • Discuss solutions to engagement barriers and create plan with consumers/families to overcome barriers and challenges to engaging in services

    • Maintain a high quality service to the public by communicating in a sensitive, thoughtful, and respectful manner

    • Contact identified consumers and families and document contact attempts and/or contact details

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a Human Service related field preferred.  A combination of education, training, and/or experience clearly relevant to the position may be substituted for degree, but must be qualified to be an OBHP

    • Must have had some experience working with mental health consumers in a clinically oriented setting. 

    • Available to work: Full time, days, Monday-Friday

    • Ability to maintain professional relationships with a variety of individuals (consumers, families, frontline staff & management, partner agencies)

    •  Strong organizational skills
