  • Overview

    The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) position will provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management to children/adolescents with a serious mental illness. Additional duties include consulting with the Medical Director or Staff Psychiatrist regarding specific clinical care issues as identified in the collaborative agreement between the APRN and the psychiatrist. This position will also collaborate with multidisciplinary community-based treatment teams to enhance medication adherence and recovery of the client.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborating with physicians in managing medical needs of patient
    • Acting as consultant/collaborator to clinical team on area of specialty
    • Provides monitoring and continuity of care between visits according to treatment plan
    • Provide independent assessment and recovery planning
    • Prescribe BH meds for C/A population

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Nursing
    • Minimum of four (4) years as a registered nurse and two (2) years in behavioral health
    • Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Indiana
    • Eligible for prescriptive privileges
    • Experience with prescribing BH meds for C/A population.
